For me he’s the greatest reciter in the last century at least. He sounds extremely heavenly. And I would like to thank the Quran Foundation team for adding him to the reciters. I just wanted to request a tiny edit, I have listened to hundreds of his recitations, and I have found out that the best ones were before 1425AH, because he got a chronic throat syndrome around that time, and after that his recitation didn’t sound as good as before. From my observations the best year for his recitations is 1424AH. That year he was still young and his vocal cords were truly magical, and I mean truly. I tremble from the beauty of voice. You can take a listen yourself, on his website here: https://a-alqasim.com/sounds_cats/07-%D8%AA%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%88%D9%8A%D8%AD-1424%D9%87%D9%80/ There you’ll find a collection of his recitations in the Taraweeh of 1424AH. He truly sounds magical. Young and freshly appointed to the Haram Al-Madani. I even found that too far back (I.e. 1421AH) doesn’t sound as good as 1424AH. That is by far the best year ever of his for recitations. Thank you for your consideration! Barakallahu feekum ajma’een
