Assalamu Alaikum Dear Muhammad Rafiq Lakhani
Jazakum Allahu Khairan for reaching out and sharing your feedback with us!
Regarding the translation of Surah 59:18 in the Mohsin & Hilali version, the phrase “the morrow” is not actually a spelling mistake. It is an older form of English (archaic English) that means “tomorrow” or “the next day.”
This translation sometimes uses older expressions to give a more classical tone, which is why you may find words like “the morrow.” While it might sound unfamiliar to modern readers, it is still a correct and intentional form of English.
So although your suggestion to use “tomorrow” would indeed make the meaning clearer for contemporary readers, the original phrase is not an error, but simply an older style of English.
