thank you for getting back to me, the reciter is Saad Al Ghamdi. I am using a MAC desktop computer, with google chrome. and yes from the first Aya (Alif laam meem) the Alif is not pronounced fully.

I also noticed something similar when listening to Yasser ad Dussary, there is an offset when it plays vs what is showing on the screen as the selected word. When I start at the beginning and press play, it misses a word or a few words in the recitation. And when I click a word to jump there, it doesn't jump to that word, but slightly off it.

Could you please share the name of the reciter you were listening to for Surah Al-Baqarah? Also, please let us know your device/browser or app, and whether this happens when starting from the beginning of the Surah or from a specific ayah.

If possible, a short screen recording would also help us review the exact audio issue.
