The second foot note by Dr. Mustafa Khattab for Surah 4:34 is incorrect. Muhammad has hit a woman as we read in Sunan an-Nasa'i 3964 and 3963.

Mother Aishah is greater and to be trusted over Dr. Mustafa Khattab.
