Bring the web interface and features of quran.com to the mobile app
R
Raheel Ahmad
I appreciate the web version of quran.com, but I find the mobile app version very disappointing. It has several issues that make it hard to use and read the Quran on a small screen. For example:
- There is no option to zoom the text or adjust the font size. The only way to zoom is to switch the screen orientation, which is unnatural and uncomfortable.
- There are no png Quran words that can be easily zoomed and read in dark mode, like on the website. These words have the Tajweed style that is very helpful and beautiful. Instead, there are many mushaf full page styles that are too small and unreadable on the app.
- There is no auto scroll feature that can pause by holding a finger on the screen and resume by releasing it. This would make recitation much easier and smoother.
I suggest that you create the same web interface in the mobile app version and add these features that I mentioned. Also, please improve the search by Arabic keywords feature to make it more accurate and flexible, like on tanzil.net (https://tanzil.net/docs/Search_Tips).
I hope you will consider my feedback and make the necessary improvements to the app. Thank you for your attention and service.

Request for Platform Parity: Android App Should Mirror the Website UI
A
Abbas
Assalamu Alaikum,
While the quran.com website is beautifully modern, aesthetic, and feature-rich, the Android app feels heavily outdated like its 2018. The primary issue is the lack of consistency: because the app's UI is completely different from the website and is very old, features are located in entirely different places, creating a fragmented and confusing experience when switching between the two.
The solution we need is for the Android app to directly mirror the website.
Please consider a complete overhaul of the mobile app to bring its interface, layout, and feature set into exact alignment with the web experience. Ensuring total design and functional consistency across all platforms would drastically improve usability for everyone.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this project.

Assalamu Alaikum Dear Abbas,
Jazakum Allahu khayran for sharing your thoughtful feedback.
We appreciate your point about improving consistency between the Quran.com website and the Android app, especially around design, layout, and feature discoverability. We will share this with the team as Android UX feedback for future product review.
